In Odessa celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on July 2, 2017.

Traditionally, the festivities began with the ceremony of raising the Naval Flag of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and dressing flags on the ships. Then the wreaths and flowers were laid on the water in honour of the dead military and civilian sailors.

The memory of servicemen of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who died in Ukraine, was honored on the shore.

On this day some servicemen of the Navy were handed national and city awards.

During the festive events, the sailors demonstrated to Odessa citizens and guests of the city the combat capabilities of the surface forces, naval aviation, artillery and marine infantry, as well as military training institutions of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
