Today, on August 4, 2015, in Odessa City Council was held a tripartite signing of the "Agreement on preparation of loan financing for upgrading trolleybus park in Odessa."

The agreement was signed by Odessa City Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov, director of the municipal enterprise "Odesgorelektrotrans" Dmitry Zheman and Senior Banker of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the head of infrastructure and energy sector in Ukraine Mark Magaletsky.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is considering the possibility of participation in the project of urban electronic transport renovation by providing long-term financing of up to 8 000 000 euro for 12 years under the guarantee of Odessa City Council. In order to immediately sign the financial agreement it is planned to inspect the project over the next two months.

When commenting the signing of today's agreement, Mark Magaletsky pointed that the team, which currently operates in the city, works on reaching results.

During negotiations with representatives of EBRD the Mayor of Odessa said that the city has in plans to reform the transport system of the city.

EBRD expressed the readiness to give an advice and technical assistance on the issue of the transport system’s reform in Odessa.
