On July 6, 2015, the Mayor of Odessa Gennadiy Trukhanov met with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of USA to Ukraine Mr. Geoffrey Ross Pyatt. During the visit were discussed the issues of reform promotion and the ways of cooperation between Odessa and the United States, as well as political and economic situation in the city.

At the meeting the sides have also discussed the issues of security. Mr. Geoffrey Ross Pyatt noted that the US government plans to provide assistance and train new officers’ patrol in Odessa.
