On April 24, 2015, in Odessa was held an international conference «Tourism as a factor of peaceful coexistence». The conference was attended by Ukrainian and international experts in tourism. The Deputy Mayor Zinaida Tsvirinko welcomed participants of the conference. Vice Mayor noted that the city government today pays great attention to the development of domestic tourism and also reported that in 2014, the city government has developed and approved a set of measures which will attract tourists from all over Ukraine. In 2015 the work in this direction along with the development of international tourism continues.

Moreover, by the order of the mayor of Odessa Gennadiy Trukhanov the current year has been declared the Year of culture and spirituality, and this fact provides a number of unique cultural projects.

Participants discussed the main issues of tourism development, the prospects of development of transport between the cities of Ukraine and all over the world, as well as problems faced by the tourism sector in times of crisis, and their solutions.
