Within the City Day were recreated traditions of celebrating Odessa wedding.
The event took place in famous district of the city – Moldovanka. The district is widely known, primarily due to the "Odessa Stories" by Isaac Babel.

The wedding was in traditions of Odessa: witty toasts, more seems like jokes; unique relationships between neighbors who quarrel and immediately make peace; tricks with thimbles and, of course, catchy music by Odessa musicians and dancing.

Not only noisy "neighbors" came to congratulate the "newly weds" and "the bride's parents". The guests of honor of the "wedding" became the mayor of Odessa Gennadiy Trukhanov and other distinguished guests.
The mayor congratulated the "couple" and noted that Odessa wedding perfectly reflects the tradition of the good old Odessa with its unique atmosphere and Odessa native soil.
