720 sportsmen from 18 countries took part in the Ukrainian debut of the swimming competition

On September 8-9, 2018, 720 sportsmen from different countries came to Odessa Black Sea bay to take part in the international open-water competitions "Oceanman".
All the guests and participants were greeted by the mayor of Odessa Gennadiy Trukhanov, organizer of the Ukrainian stage Vlasta Shovkovskaya and director of "Oceanman" Fermin Egido.
On September 8, the swimmers have overcame a distance of 10 km, 5 km and 2 km. The last one was the most massive.
The winners of the swim became: 10 km - Sergey Kvita (Dnepr) and Helena Wenck (Denmark), 5 km - Vladimir Voronko (Krivoy Rog) and Noah Shaul (Israel), 2 km - Rostislav Seykirash, Natalia Khudyakova (Brovary).
The first 10 people from each race are sent to the final of the competition, which will be held in Dubai.
"For the first time" Oceanman "is held in Ukraine, and it is a pleasure to see so many participants. I am grateful to the organizers of Odessa stage and the city authorities for the fact that they made every effort to make able to swim here, "commented Fermin Egido, the strategic director of Oceanman. He noted that Odessa has collected a record number of participants for the debut start. Earlier in the debut stages of "Oceanman" in the world participated up to 500 people.
