The mayor of Odessa met with commanders of NATO naval groups

This week the ships of the NATO Permanent Military Navy Group No. 2 and the Permanent Mine Action Group of NATO No. 2 arrived in Odessa.
On July 24, 2018 the Mayor of Odessa Gennadiy Trukhanov met with the commanders of NATO groups - Commodore Boudevin Buts and Captain of the II Rank Frank Maginski.
Representatives of the North Atlantic Alliance noted that NATO ships will be opened to residents and guests of Odessa to July 25. After the completion of the visit to the port of Odessa, NATO ships together with the ships of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will conduct joint training in the Black Sea, such as PASSEX.
During the dialogue it was noted that representatives of various member states of the Alliance are present on NATO ships, and thanks to representatives of Turkey and Greece the team heard about Istanbul and Greek parks in Odessa.

Gennadiy Trukhanov invited the guests of our city to walk through the Istanbul park and told about the ongoing works in the Greek park, noting the emerging trend of sister cities to beautify the green zones of Odessa, bearing the appropriate names, with the introduction of the peculiarities of their countries’ culture.
