The closing ceremony of Odessa Film Festival-2018: the red carpet and the ceremony of awarding the winners. According to the results of the audience vote, the Grand Prix won the film "Crystal" by Darya Zhuk

The solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the 9th Odessa International Film Festival took place at Odessa National Opera and Ballet Theater on July 21, 2018.
Actors, directors, cultural figures and artists walked by the Red Carpet before the closing ceremony.
The event began with performance of the Apache Crew ballet, after which the participants of the ceremony were greeted by the Minister of Culture of Ukraine.
Special guest of the 9th OIFF - British actress Jacqueline Bisset - was awarded a statuette "Golden Duke" for her contribution to the cinema art. The award was presented to the actress by the president of OIFF, the chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ukrainian Film Academy Victoria Tigipko.
The film "Home Games" by Alisa Kovalenko (Ukraine, France, Poland) won the European documentary films competition. A special mention was given to the tape "69 minutes out of 86 days" (directed by Egil Haskjold Larsen, Norway).
The film “In Joy” directed by Maryna Roshchyna was recognized by the jury as the best Ukrainian short film of the National Competition.
"Golden Duke" for the full-length film of the National Competition Program was given to the film "Delta" by Oleksandr Techynskyi.
The owner of the "Golden Duke" for best actor's work in the National Competition was Anastasia Pustovit ("When the trees fall", dir. Marysia Nikitiuk).
In the category "Best Director's Work" won Tonya Noyabryova ("The Hero of My Time").
Special mention was given to the tapes “Bond” (dir. Zhanna Ozirna) and "Mark L. Tulip, that Spoke with Flowers" (dir. Dana Kavelina).
Also the day before, FIPRESCI Prize for The Best Ukrainian Film was given for the films: full meter Delta (director Oleksandr Techynskyi), short film The Magnetic Storm (director Ihor Hanskyi).
A special diploma of the jury of the International Competition Program was the film "Pororoka" directed by Konstantin Popescu (Romania, France).
In the category "Best Acting" won Victor Polster ("The Girl", Belgium).
The best director is Babis Makridis for the film "Pity" (Greece, Poland). The same tape was unanimously recognized by the jury as the best film.
The owner of the main prize of the 9th OIFF - Grand Prix - was the film "Crystal" by Darya Zhuk (co-production of Belarus, Germany, the United States and Russia). The winner in this category was traditionally determined by the audience of the film festival.

The film of the closing of the 9th OIFF was the film En liberté! / The trouble with you by Pierre Salvadori, who received Directors’ Fortnight SACD Award at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.

Summing up the results of the film forum, the president of Odessa Film Festival Victoria Tigipko noted that the program of the 9th OIFF consisted of more than 100 films from 45 countries, 39 of them were directed by female directors.
The jubilee, tenth, Odessa Film Festival will be held from 12 to 20 July 2019.
