Odessa schoolchildren got acquainted with the history and culture of Germany

International exchange of schoolchildren: students and teachers of Odessa school No. 35 and gymnasium No. 2 have visited the German cities of Munich, Regensburg and Salzburg

Within the framework of the project on the international exchange of schoolchildren, a delegation of students and teachers from Odessa specialized school No. 35 and gymnasium No. 2 have visited the Federal Republic of Germany.

For two weeks, the students have been intensively studying the German language - every day for four academic hours they were at the language courses "Sprachcaffe".
In the sister city Regensburg the delegation from Odessa met with representative of education and international relations department Anne Shpangel, , the director of the secondary school Willie-Ulfig Rainer Lackler, teachers and pupils of the school who visited Odessa specialized school No. 35 in April this year.
In addition, after classes, pupils had an opportunity to see the sights of Munich and Salzburg.
During excursions, which were held in German, the pupils visited the cathedral of the Virgin Mary and St. Peter's Church, visited the Odeonplatz square with the "Feldherrnhalle", the National Opera Theatre and the main square of Munich - Marienplatz.
In one of the largest parks of the world - the English park (area - 4.17 km2, length about 5.5 km) - the children have visited the rotunda in the Greek style "Monopteros" and fed the swans on the Kleinhesseloher Lake.
The students have also visited the BMW Museum, the Museum of Natural History and Technology, the Nymphenburg Palace (the 17th century), the Porcelain Museum and the Carriage and Sled Museum, the Helabrun Zoo, the Olympic Stadium, where were able to watch competitions among professional skaters from all over the world. Exciting acrobatic performances, workshops and showing unusual hairstyles at the Tollwood Festival in the Olympic Park did not leave the children indifferent.
Walking the streets of ancient Salzburg, the city of the great Mozart, the children visited the Mirabell Palace and the Hohensalzburg Fortress.
Cooperation between Germany and Ukraine in the field of education will continue. Thus, Odessa pupils will take part in the Second International Youth Conference, which will be held from July 29 to August 4 in Regensburg.
