On May 12, 2018, as part of the second day of the All-Ukrainian Open Forum "Multi-child family of Ukraine", Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Oleksandra Churkina told about the international initiative "The Child and Youth Friendly Community ". The Ministry of Social Policy is a partner of this movement. Today the global initiative covers more than 3,000 municipalities in 38 countries on 5 continents.
The Mayor of Odessa Gennadiy Trukhanov noted that Odessa has already submitted documents for joining the international movement.
By joining the initiative, Odessa will have the opportunity to receive powerful public and investment support, because " The Child and Youth Friendly Community " is a global movement whose goal is to unite authorities, civil society and business to reach consensus in key areas of developing well-being for all children and youth . This is development of the community, where the needs, priorities and rights of children are integrated into urban policies, programs and solutions.
