In 2017, within the framework of the "Public Budget", the citizens of Odessa were invited to develop initiatives to implement in Odessa socially oriented, useful for the city as well as attractive projects.

The project "City of Sculptures" became one of the winning projects. The project involves creation and installation in publicly accessible places a number of original sculptural compositions, installations, art objects designed to beautify the city, to serve the development of the original Odessa history.

The special commission has chosen the best works by 14 sculptors. Some of works have been already installed and some are under development.
