On March 29, 2018, the Mayor of Odessa, President of the European Federation on Thai Boxing, Gennadiy Trukhanov welcomed participants of the Thai Muay Thai Championship, which runs from March 28 to April 1 in Odessa.

 
According to the results of the Championship, the national teams of Ukraine will be formed to participation in the World Championship in Mexico (May 10 - 22) and the European Championship in Prague (June 29 - July 8). Also, according to the results of the competitions, the national team of Ukraine will be formed to participate in the World Championship in Thai boxing among boys, which will be held in Thailand from 4 to 11 of August.
