Last weekend in Odessa City Garden and Shevchenko’s Park took place festivities on occasion of Maslenitsa.

The guests of the festival took part in interesting contests, sports, games, including interactive ones, swaddled a deck (wooden chock), danced with brooms, and danced in a round.
For children was prepared an entertainment program involving wandering minstrel-cum-clowns, stilt walkers and animators.

During the festival folk-ethnographic ensemble "Vesnyanka" and Cossack choir "Kozatske Kolo" informed on Ukrainian traditions of Maslenitsa celebration and performed the ceremonial songs.
