The ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the victims of Holocaust and ghetto prisoners will be held in Odessa (Prokhorovsky Square) on January 27, 2018 at 11.00.

The event will be attended by former prisoners of the ghetto and concentration camps, government officials and representatives of public organizations.

The UN General Assembly declared January 27 the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Holocaust. The UN resolution states the inadmissibility of denying the Holocaust as a historical event, and also calls for development of educational programs aimed at strengthening the historical memory of the genocide victims, protecting the historical monuments of the places where mass killings of Jews took place.
