The mayor of Odessa Gennadiy Trukhanov had a meeting with the new mayor of Istanbul, Mevlut Uysal, during his working visit to Istanbul.
The meeting was attended by the Consul General of Ukraine in Istanbul Alexander Gaman, a member of the city parliament, the speaker of the parliamentary faction of Justice and Development Mr. Kagan Shahin, deputy mayors of Istanbul and Odessa.

During the meeting the sides reached an agreement on continuing further cooperation in the field of economy and culture. There were discussed the issues of attracting investments in the sphere of construction, transport and tourism.
The mayors of two cities have also considered the possibility of installing the tourist symbol of Odessa "Anchor Heart" in Istanbul. The place in historical part of the city - the shore of Golden Horn was proposed for installation.
