Opening the conference, representative of the city authorities of Regensburg, Dr. Thomas Burger, and the authorized representative of the Bavarian State Government on the issues of people with disabilities, Irmgard Badura, welcomed the guests of the round table.
Participants for three days of the conference communicated with representatives of public and state structures of the other countries, took part in discussion of problems of people with disabilities, exchanged their ideas and views and got acquainted with the history of the sister city.
During the round table discussion there were discussed the issues of barrier-free education, residence, cultural advancement and social adaptation of people and children with disabilities.
