An information campaign aimed at preventing HIV infection, sexually transmitted diseases and viral hepatitis was conducted in Odessa on November 30, 2017, on the eve of International AIDS Day. The students of Odessa Regional Basic Medical School and volunteers took part in the actions. There was also held a round table discussion on HIV prevention and subsequent testing for HIV.

The events were supported by the project "Accelerated Response to the HIV and TB Epidemic in Eastern Europe and Central Asia" and the International Public Health Alliance.

On December 4, 2017, the mayor of Odessa, Gennadiy Trukhanov signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with "Alliance of Public Health" in the issues of combating HIV / AIDS, tuberculosis and viral hepatitis.
