On occasion of the Day of Dignity and Freedom, on November 21, the ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the Great Kobzar took place in the Central Park named after T. Shevchenko.

The event was attended by: authorities of the city and region, deputies, representatives of various arms of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the clergy and public.

Ukrainian national holiday The Day of Dignity and Freedom was established in 2014 to honor the courage of participants of the Orange Revolution (2004) and the Revolution of Dignity (2013-2014) in upholding human rights and the European future of Ukraine, their dedication to the ideals of freedom, justice, and the assertion of democratic values in the state.
