A great tragedy happened in Odessa on May 2, 2014. In the aftermath of that horrible skirmishes about 50 persons died and more than 200 were hospitalized.
Doctors were providing casualties with all the efficient assistance right from the first moments of the disturbances. The citizens of Odessa were helping the wounded and injured in every possible way including blood donation.
Acting Mayor of Odessa Oleg Bryndak made a statement concerning the mass riots. He called to all the confronting groups in the city to avoid violence when resolving disagreements.
