Odesa schoolchildren became participants of the international project Earth of the World

Pupils of Odesa Lyceum No. 9 have creatively presented their native city at the meeting with German and Polish age-mates in the framework of the international project “Earth of the World”

In October 2018, in the Polish city of Krzyzow were held literary readings “We are Europeans. Common story”. The event was held in the framework of the international project "Earth of the World" at the invitation of the Foundation of European Cooperation "Krzyzowa".
The meeting was attended by delegations from Kaiserslautern schoolchildren (Federal Republic of Germany), Lezno (Polish Republic) and Odesa (Ukraine).


At the meeting with German and Polish age-mates Odesa was represented by a group of 14 pupils and 2 teachers of Odesa Lyceum ¹9. Odesites have creatively presented their native city.


For five days, schoolchildren participated in integration language events. The pupils visited the Gross-Rosen memorial and also got with the cities of Kryzhov, Wroclaw and Swidnica.


During the meetings were discussed the peculiarities of learning experience in educational institutions of Ukraine, Poland and Germany, cultural differences, the possibilities of language communication and cooperation in three languages.



The pupils talked about the historical events of the Second World War, the possibilities for further cooperation and exchange of experience between the institutions participating in the literary readings.



The language of communication at the meeting was English as understandable to all participants and it helped Odessa schoolchildren to replenish their knowledge of European countries.
